I received the following error trying to upgrade from 7.0.6090 to SP1:

ERROR: The systems requires an IPMI firmware update before this upgrade package can be installed.
ACTION: First, download and install the IPMI firmware update for this platform. Then install this upgrade package.
Aborting the upgrade since the storage module is not in a suitable state for software installation.
Installation aborted.

I cannot find any help in the knowledge base nor any IPMI firmware updates on the support site. Has anyone else run into this and if so what or how did you resolve it?

Thanks,

nlaurino

Hello-

Was this an NSM 160 that you saw this meesage on? If so you will need to install the 10006-07 ipmi patch. It is an ISO image that is burned onto cd and install with a USB CD-ROM drive. The patch is available on the LHN media center.

Please let me know if that works for you.

Thanks,
Brad
