Hi,
I have loaded the VSA appliance and installed it successfully on my laptop within Workstation 6. The virtual machine showed the green config screen and I was able to access to it typing in "Start" + Enter.
I was also able to access the module from the Console.
However, when I shut down the VSA virtual machine and powered it on again I lost the connection to the module. When I try to cannot log in again I am asked a login and a password. I remember I entered the password during the installation but not the user name.

I contacted the support of LeftHand, but they do not support the Demo version. However they suggested to try admin/password or admin/lefthand but this didn't work.

Have anyone the solution ?

There is no default password for SAN/iQ since version 7. You define it when you setup the unit in the UI.

So when you created a password you must have specified the username too.

Unless a user has been created manually, or the unit added to a group that it inherits users from, it wont ask for any authentication.

If you can't remember or guess the username you can always start again from the original download.

PM me if it is that important to keep the data you have on there and I can reset your password and user through a web meeting of some sort.
