I've got the demo version running on a laptop and have configured a volume in the Management Console.

Now, how do I get another test laptop to be able to see this volume? Do I have to be using VMWare? Currently I am just trying to use an XP Pro laptop with the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator installed

in the Management Console the iSCSI name for my volume shows as:

iqn.2003-10.com.lefthandnetworks:mgo:11:caseware

however the MS iSCSI software seems to want an IP address. I've tried the address of the VSA and many combinations but can't get it to see it.

Thanks for any help you can give

You are doing the right thing to put the IP address of the SAN in but authentication must be configured on the SAN to allow the iqn address of your Windows client to connect to the SAN.

In the LeftHand UI (CMC) click on getting started (toward the top left of the screen).

You should see a volume access wizard, or maybe authentication wizard (I can't remember right now).

Follow that and you should be set.
