Hi Forum,

We're evaluating the VSA in a two site configuration. We want either site to be available if the other goes down, without having to manually start a virtual manager or assigning either site as a primary. From the Multi-Site SAN User Manual we've ascertained that we need a failover manager which is apparently available on the SAN/iQ CD.

We have the downloaded VSA demos and CMC installed but there doesn't appear to be failover manager software anywhere.

Is the failover manager software available for evaluation? We'd really like to evaluate to as close a real world scenario as we can, particularly with respect to redundancy, before taking the next step to virtualising our servers on a virtual SAN.
Is the failover manager software available for evaluation? If we bought two VSA's is it an extra feature requiring extra licensing?

Thanks

The Failover manager is not an additional license. It is included with SAN/iQ.

I don't think it is available for download unless you have a customer login though.

If you PM me your info I could have someone contact you to get it to you for eval.
